'Blue Pool' pottery coastal-inspired shapes by Catriona Fitzgerald
Potter Catriona Fitzgerald was taken aback by the beauty of the coast and its natural environment after moving to live in Thanet on the East Kent coast. She created a new series of pieces in pottery, reflecting the shapes and colours of the beach, the sea, the seaweed and driftwood that she saw and collected on daily walks.
We hope you enjoy these very finely made, delicate pieces in our collection. Each is totally unique, a single item, and there is a variety of glazes and colours used.
This pressed out bowl is a long oval shape which extends with delicate shapes of clay and is glazed with a soft blue colour.
The pottery is 4.5cm tall and 11 cm across.
