Blue summer lantern with a Moroccan-inspired etched pattern - solar powered
We saw these intricate patterned solar lanterns by the guys who design our lovely Starburst ones, and the robins, so we thought we should give them a try. And they are pretty fab! Designed in a slightly Moroccan style, we chose two different shapes and colours, this beautiful blue, and there's a maroon teardrop shaped one as well.
This lantern is a traditional round shape. It is made on the old paper ball shade principal, but with a specially coated paper/fabric which has been etched with hundreds of holes to make a gorgeous pattern of light when it is on. It comes with a hook to hang it outside, and also a simple metal stand so you could just have it on an outdoor table.
The lantern has a solar disc in the top to catch the sunshine during the day and glow as the light falls.
Designed by Lightstyle London, the lantern is 30cm across x 30cm tall. It comes nicely packed in a box, so it makes a good gift item.
