This is a versatile PEMA scarf, or a throw, made in a super textural weave with self-fringe ends. The scarf is made from recycled fibres the banana plants - it makes a heavy, very luxurious feeling fabric which is almost like a raw or slub silk in feel. We like this lovely new clay colour - which does come in a range from lighter to a little darker terracotta.

It measures 30cm x 195cm

They are designed and imported by one of the small design-led companies we show - Aura Que is a collaboration between UK designer Laura Queening and the small producer groups she works with in Asia. She looks to use traditional skills and local materials as much as possible, aiming to encourage empowerment through work for the individual producers who make the items. She has a passion for Eastern design and appreciation for artisan craftsmanship, handmade processes and traditional textiles.

Each product is brought to life in collaboration with their producer group in Vietnam, a World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) member, that provides secure employment to disadvantaged women and marginalized groups in society.
