'Scrapwood' hand-turned wooden bowl with natural indents, by Gordon Duxbury
Wood turning is a craft that takes time and great patience; we have worked with Broadstairs -based Gordon Duxbury for over seven years and he is a calm, thoughtful person who is very knowledgeable about wood and its varied characteristics. We like his sense of clean lines and a simplicity of design, putting the emphasis on clean lines and finding special beauty in each piece of wood.
This bowl was made with some unused wood that Gordon decided to try out - and like for many crafts, not be sure what would emerge. We think it was a good result!
