'Gold' papier mache handformed bowl in black and gold by Janie Hoare
This hand formed bowl is made from pulped paper, sculpted with a tall 'foot' and with an organic, flowing shape to the outline of the bowl. The outside is deliberately highly textured, the inside more smooth, with a varying edge. The outside is painted in a shining black on top of gold, giving added textural interest, and the inside is gold, which comes over the edge to make a satisfying border to the bowl.
The piece is 9cm high and 19cm across the widest point.
