Lidded ceramic 'tentacle' pots or vessels by Mike Child
We have always shown Mike Child's stunning pottery. We loved these two pots, part of a series of pieces themed around tentacles, exploring the coiling shapes and complex textures. The soft sheen of the glazing makes the pots almost look like leather-covered flagons. Mike Child, of Paragon Pottery, works above Ramsgate harbour and is a studio potter, producing a huge range of styles of pottery, from large sculptural pieces to plates, mugs and bowls. He is very experienced and as well as producing his own work has for many years taught in Kent.
The larger pot is 24.5cm and the smaller 18cm tall.
