Paul Choppin' by Angela Malone
Paul Choppin' depicts a chef at the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury and is an ink and wash original work. Angela Malone was ‘Artist in Residence’ at the old theatre, prior to it being rebuilt as a modern venue, for about 18 months. Angela says "I made many sketches during this time and kept them together as a project called ‘Christopher’s Playhouse’."
This sensitive ink and wash picture measures approx. 9” x 5” unmounted.
With a cream mount supplied it comes up to approx. 13” x 9”.
Angela Malone works across varied mediums including sculpture and has transformed many spaces with beautiful murals. She is based in East Kent and is frequently inspired and draws from the environment and its buildings, as well as the people and objects that bring them to life. She graduated from UCA, Canterbury in 2010 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art/Sculpture, and studied for a time in Vienna’s Akademie. Her medallic work has been displayed at the British Museum on a number of occasions and has won both the Niagara Falls Prize and the Fattorini Second Grand Prize. She is curently studying for an MA in Fine Art. Her work (paintings, drawings and sculptures) are held in both private and Public collections.
