'Lavender Pool' pottery coastal-inspired shapes by Catriona Fitzgerald
Potter Catriona Fitzgerald was taken aback by the beauty of the coast and its natural environment after moving to live in Thanet on the East Kent coast. She created a new series of pieces in pottery, reflecting the shapes and colours of the beach, the sea, the seaweed and driftwood that she saw and collected on daily walks.
We hope you enjoy these very finely made, delicate pieces in our collection. Each is totally unique, a single item, and there is a variety of glazes and colours used.
This pressed out little bowl extends with delicate fronds of clay and is impressed in the base with sprigs of lavender. The whole is glazed with a soft aqua colour.
The pottery is 2.5cm tall and 10 cm across.
