Pearl 'Man in the Moon' handmade brooch by Jan Cooper

This is a totally unique piece of jewellery. A glowing Man in the Moon brooch, decorated with pearls and a sparkling crown, of course! Jan puts incredible detail into her individual jewellery, and this brooch includes a sparkling hanging element. The face is made with pulped paper, beautifully painted by Jan and finished with resin to give a look of china pottery. Upcycled and recycled fabric with sparkling decorations make up the overall piece, and there's Jan's favourite gold backing along with her artist tag. 

The brooch is 13cm tall.

Jan Cooper studied Graphics at Canterbury Art College, then went onto creating handmade 3D greetings cards. This inspired her to move onto making jewellery, which she does with various textiles. She loves to use gold, velvet and mixing fabrics with textured and rigid materials. Jan is an artist spending her life between Brighton and Sandwich, Kent.
