Frida Kahlo patterned heart upcycled necklace handmade by Jan Cooper
Frida Kahlo continues to fascinate us and this handmade upcycled necklace uses print images and collage set into resin to make the hanging heart of the necklace. It swings from a painted upcycled bead necklace, which has Jan's favourite gold backing along with her artist tag.
The heart is 8cm tall. The bead necklace is maximum of 50cm with a chain that can make it as short as 43cm.
Jan Cooper studied Graphics at Canterbury Art College, then went onto creating handmade 3D greetings cards. This inspired her to move onto making jewellery, which she does with various textiles. She loves to use gold, velvet and mixing fabrics with textured and rigid materials. Jan is an artist spending her life between Brighton and Sandwich, Kent.
