Round drop earrings in flower patterned silk, by Silky Moons
These beautiful earrings are handmade with upcycled soft white silk fabric patterned with pink and mauve flowers. The reverse side is a different, sympathetic silk with deep blue abstract patterns on the soft white background. The silk discs hang from simple hypoallergenic metal loops fixings, so they move gently, showing how beautiful they are. The earrings are very lightweight, made from upcycled board covered with silk fabric, meticulously hand stitched and precisely finished.
The fabric covered disc is 3cm across.

We were hugely impressed by designer maker Karolina and the precision and beautiful detail in her jewellery which is entirely handmade and sewn with the tiniest perfect stitching. She uses upcycled silk which has been gently hand washed in eco friendly detergent and ironed before sewing.
Karolina Binczyk was born and raised in Poland. After graduating as a interior designer she decided to join her friends and live in Scotland. She began to explore uses for beautiful fabrics, and Silky Moons began. ‘’Sustainability is a priority for me. I had always liked the idea to reuse them, giving old clothes a second chance at life...
Nowadays, jewellery is an integral part of our image.
It adds femininity, self-confidence and attracts eyes.
We pay a lot of attention to ensure that it matches our beauty and clothes,
it often cheers us up and makes us feel better.’’
